           Four Nines <br>

</dl>With regard to the Four Nines nation-wide mass movement, which has
been developing progressively into being, the KNU has to issue a
statement as <i>follows:</i>. <br>
<br>
<b>i. </b>The existence and domination by a military dictatorship for
many decades in Burma, and the dictatorship's ignoramus refusal to
recognize and the foolhardy attempt to erase the results of the
election,which itself had held, are a matter not only,for extreme
repugnance in the history of the world and that of Burma, but they are
also totally unacceptable to every civilized person. <br>
<br>
2. Currently. the ethnic nationalities in Burma have not only lost their
ethnic rights, but they are also being ruthlessly and barbarously
attacked militarily in a war of genocide, waged by the SPDC military
dictatorship clique. Similarly, the people from all walks of life have
not only lost their democratic and human rights, but they are also being
oppressed violently, slaughtered and exploited ruthlessly by the SPIDC
military dictatorship clique. <br>

3. From now on, as domination by the military dictatorship should no
longer continue to exist in Burma, we, the KNU, earnestly call upon all
the ethnic nationalities, students and. youths, the Buddhist monks, the
people from all walks of life, the patriotic political parties, officers
and men of.the SPDC army in the lower levels, who have been enslaved by
the SPDC dictatorship, and the cease-fire organizations to rise up and
oppose the domination of the SPDC military dictatorship, with courage and
unity. <br>
