622 members resign from Toungoo Township NLD


YANGON, 1 Sept-A  ceremony to present  letters of  resignation  of 622
members of  Toungoo  Township  National  League  for  Democracy,  Bago
Division,  was held at the  Kaytu  Yadana  Hall in town at 10 am on 29
August 1999.

Six  hundred  and  twenty-two  members of Toungoo  Township  NLD, Bago
Division,  of their own  volition,  resigned  by  sending  letters  of
resignation to the party concerned on 29 August 1999 as they no longer
wished to participate in party politics of NLD.

Member of Kanyoe Village-tract in Toungoo Township NLD U Myo Myint, on
behalf of the party members,  explained about the resignation from the
party and handed  over the  letters  of  resignation  to  Chairman  of
Township Multiparty  Democracy General Election  Sub-Commission U Ngwe
San.
