YANGON, 31 Aug-Secretary-1 of the State
Peace and Development Council Lt- Gen
Khin Nyunt received Senator Mr Richard C
Shelby of the United States who called
at his office at Dagon Yeiktha of the
Ministry of Defence at 11 am today.


Also present at the call were Minister
for Foreign Affairs U Win Aung and
Director-General Thura U Aung Htet of
the Protocol Department.


The Senator of the United States was
accompanied by Charge d' Affaires ai of
the US Embassy Ms Priscilla A Clapp and
officials.
