Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) families, 
well-wishers offer provisions to Home for 
Aged Nuns


YANGON, 30 Aug - Families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy 
and Air) and well-wishers donated provisions and cash 
towards the funds of Home for the Aged Nuns in Mingala 
Taungnyunt Township, Yangon East District, at the 
venue this morning, attended by Secretary-2 of the 
State Peace and Development Council Chief of Bureau 
of Special Operations and Chief of Staff (Army) 
Lt-Gen Tin Oo. Sister Susan of the Home for the 
Aged Nuns blessed the gathering.


    Vice-Adjutant-General Brig-Gen Maung Nyo, 
General Staff Officer (Grade I) (Navy) Cmdr Tin Oo 
and Colonel General Staff (Air) (Mechanical) Col 
Hlaing Bwa offered rice donated by the families of 
the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) to the 
Administrator.


    Staff of departments and well-wishers presented 
99 bags of rice, 25 viss of oil, 300 viss of iodized 
salt, 25 tubes of tooth paste, 18 viss of gram, 
50 bottles of indigenous medicines, five medicinal 
books and 25 dozens of ointment bottles.


    Afterwards, a ceremony to set up trust fund 
for the Home for the Aged Nuns took place.


Administrator Mother Louisa accepted K 316,070 
donated by Secretary-2 of the State Peace and 
Development Council Chief of Bureau of Special 
Operations and Chief of Staff (Army) Lt-Gen Tin 
Oo Daw Khin Than Nwe and family, the State Peace 
and Development Council, Yangon City development. 
Committee and well-wishers. Vice-Adjutant-General 
Brig-Gen Maung Nyo explained the purpose of the 
donations. Deputy Minister for Forestry Col Thaik 
Tun explained development of the State. Sister 
Mary of the Home for the Aged Nuns spoke words 
of thanks.
