Subject: Chinese President visit to Australia

Burmese Democracy movement is planning protests against the Chinese
President first visit to Australia.

According to reliable source Chinese President Jian Zemin is going to stop
for a few days in Australia on his way to New Zealand for APEC Conference .
He will be landing in Melbourne on 6th of September . A reception for him by
Chinese community in Melbourne on 7th of September . A lunch party with
Australian Prime minister John Howard , Foreign minister A. Downer and many
other leaders at 12 noon on 8th September.
He will be last seen in Australia in Sydney on 9th of September 1999.

Despite the busy workload with 9999 action plans ,Burmese democracy
activists in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne are also joining with Tibetan
friends to stage protests to show their anger of the Chinese political and
military support toward military dictatorship in Burma.

Chinese pro-democracy campaigner Wei Jein Shin who is currently residing in
USA ,  is also in Sydney in preparation for  the protests against Chinese
president visit.
He will be speaking at the New South Wales  state library on 27th Friday at
6:30 pm 10 $ per head.
He had publicly stated his support for Burmese Democracy movement . He spoke
words of support to hunger striker outside New South Wales Parliament house
and also happily signed the petition to recognize CRPP as the highest
authority of Burma.
