Burma MILITARY (government)  warns against uprising 



The military government in Burma says it has arrested four prople after
uncovering details of a plot to incite an uprising on September the
ninth. 

The government accused the National League for Democracy of joining
exiled
democracy groups in fomenting the plan, and those responsible would be
severely punished. 

Correspondents say exiled Burmese activists in Bangkok have made no
secret
of their calls for a mass uprising against the military government on
9-9-99, to mark the pro-democracy uprising on 8-8-88 and say more than
forty
people have already been arrested.
