Human rights commissioner leaves Myanmar after talks

     Australian Commissioner for Human Rights Chris Sidoti left
Yangon on Wednesday after meeting with government officials and
pro-democracy opposition leaders to discuss details of a plan to
establish an independent human rights commission in Myanmar.
     The Australian embassy, which arranged the meetings, declined to
name those Sidoti met during his four-day visit, or the outcome of
the discussions.
