Believing in superstitions

Believing in superstitions

If you are patient enough watching TV-Myanmar, you will think the whole
Burma seems religious this year, 1999. Everyday, every news shows all
Buddhist religious functions attended by SPDC members and ministers. Don't
be hurried to say "Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu". They are sinning.

Since the (exile) pro-democracy groups launched 9999 action plan, the
soothsayers instructed SPDC to observe 9 precepts to counter 9999 game plan.

Usually each and every Buddhist keeps 5 or 8 or 10 precepts on the Sabbath
days. But ? Forget the practice of bona fide Buddhism, "We must safeguard
our seat of power." That is the way of SPDC's counter-9999 conspiracy.

Everyday, all senior SPDC folks are offering "Waso" robes to the monks of
their preference. The MRTV is announcing all Sabbath days during 4
(devoted) months. All people are appealed to keep 9 precepts. One of the
days is coincidentally 9-9-99.

Nevertheless can SPDC guys keep 9 precepts?

Buddha taught that rationalization, verbal expression, and physical deed
are important for all transgression and benevolence. SPDC's thinking is
just to defend themselves but not for karma. However, can SPDC really
refrain from killing, lying, stealing, sexual misconduct, intoxication,
eating after noon, enjoying music and entertainment, and holding bank note
in hand? Or can they be able to transmit metta to all beings? If yes, they
will win. If not... let them go to the hell.
