(1)		Mingaladon BEHS No. 2 Gets Multimedia Classrooms

		A ceremony to open the multimedia classrooms of Basic 
Education High School No. 2 of Mingaladon Township, Yangon was held at the 
school on 21 July. The multimedia rooms comprise the audio visual media room, 
the projection media room, the audio section, the reading room, the computer 
aided media room, the computer training and e-mail room and the domestic 
science and art room.

(2)		Drafting of Myanmar Medical Council Law Discussed

		A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health on 21 July to 
discuss drawing of the Myanmar Medical Council Law (Draft). Present at the 
meeting were Deputy MInister for Health, directors-general, rectors, 
directors, professors, department heads, and physicians of the ministry, 
officials of the Attorney-General's Office and Defence Services Medical 
Services, the President of Myanmar Red Cross Society and other officials.

(3)		Coord Meeting on Malaysia-Myanmar Business Seminar Held

		Trade Promotion Manager Mr Ghafar Musa of Malaysia External 
Trade Development called on President and Secretary of the Union of Myanmar 
Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry U Win Myint at UMFCCI 
building in Yangon on 20 July. They discussed Malaysia-Myanmar Business 
Seminar to be successfully held at the Traders Hotel on 26 July.

(4)		Workshop on Unity for Quality Opens

		An opening ceremony of Workshop on Unity for Quality 
sponsored by Myanmar Nurses Association (Central) and Myanmar Nurses 
Association (Yangon) was held at the meeting hall of Yangon Division Health 
Department on 21 July. Chairperson of MNA (Central) and Deputy Staff Officer 
of Yangon Division Health Department were present. Vice-Chairpersons  and 
members discussed matters related to the workshop. Nurses of townships of 
Yangon Division are attending the workshop which will continue till 23 July.

(5)		IAA Gift for Cooperatives Ministry

		International Academy Association(IAA) of the Republic of 
Korea presented two computers and three sets of language lab equipment to the 
Ministry of Cooperatives on 21 July. Chairman of IAA Dr. Joseph Y Baek handed 
the IBM computers and equipment to Minister for Cooperatives.

(6)		Two Delegates of MRCS leave for Sweden

		Platoon Commander Maung Saw Min Aung of Wundwin Township, 
Mandalay Division, Red Cross Brigade and Platoon Commander Ma Khin Wut Hmon 

of Kyaiklat Township, Ayeyawady Division, Red Cross Brigade left Yangon by 
air on 21 July  to attend the Youth Power 99 of Second World Red Cross and 
Red Crescent Youth Meeting to be held in Sweden from 23 to 30 July.
