DESPERATE TYRANTS, MENACE TO THE WORLD

Stability is indispensable for a nation to make progress in the economy. A
representative democracy is the form of government that can guarantee such
statbility that is required by a nation state. Burma is ethnically so
diverse that a "representative democracy" that can guarantee the
representation for the ethnic groups is the only form of government that
will suit the people of Burma like a glove. Burma is now a nation state that
is trying to stabilize the economy without political reforms. Why no
reforms? In case of political reforms the tyrants role in the nation will
come to zero since their role in the nation is merely a fake.

Since 1988, Burma has been destabilized , not by the students or political
dissidents but by the regime itself, enforcing laws that must be obeyed by
citizens of Burma but broken by the members of the regime themselves. Laws
are supposed to be obeyed by all citizens of the nation state. Citizens
include the rulers themselves.

The regime's stubborn unwillingness to accept the truth decided by the 1990
elections has led the nation to a gridlock that cannot be defused by the
international community for the good of the nation. The economy of the
nation is troubled. The nation is running out of natural resources because
the regime is abusively selling them all for hard currency while
unnecessarily strengthening its army, not to defend the country but to
terrorise its own people.

It is obvious that economic stability cannot be forced by a regime so
unpopular at home and abroad. The regime paved its way to become an ASEAN
member to shield itself from international criticism. To the regime's
advantage , it became an ASEAN member. But the ASEAN has found itself in
trouble as soon as the tyrants have been welcome into the gang. As long as
Burma is ruled by such tyrants, there will be no stability in the nation and
there will be no peace in the Pacific region either. As a result the
existence of such a reckless regime that has inflicted damage of the
Burmese spirit is going to be a menace to the world.
