International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit 
Trafficking observed in Sittway
      

YANGON, 27 June-The talks, exhibition and essay, poetry, 
cartoon, painting and poster competition pri7.e presentation 
ceremony in commemoration of the International Day Against 
Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking were held at U Uttama 
Hall in Sittway, Rakhine State, yesterday.


Commander Maj-Gen Aung Htwe made a speech.


Rakhine State Police Col Aye Ko read out the message sent 
by the Chairman of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse 
Control.


    Police Lt-Col Myint Thein of Rakhine State Myanmar 
Police Force, Specialist Dr Daw Mya Aye of Rakhine State 
Health Department, Rakhine State Law Officer U Chit Swe 
and Police Capt Khin Maung Soe of the Special Anti-Drug 
Squad gave talks on various topics.


    Afterwards, Commander Maj-Gen Aung Htwe and officials 
presented prizes to the winners in the International Day 
Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking commemorative 
essay, poetry, cartoon, painting and poster competitions.
