(1)   Secretary-1 views Nepalese cultural show


YANGON, 28 June-Secretary-l of the State Peace and 
Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt attended a cultural 
show presented by the Nepalese cultural delegation led 
by Mr Harihar Sharma who arrived here under the cultural 
exchange programme between Nepal and Myanmar, at the 
National Theatre on Myoma Kyaung Road this evening.


Ambassador of Nepal to the Union of Myanmar Mr Satchit 
Shumshere JB Rana extended greetings.


Members of the Nepalese delegation presented variety 
traditional songs and dances .After the show, Secretary- 1 
Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt presented the flower basket of honour 
to the delegation. Then, Secretary Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt 
together with the Nepalese delegation had documentary 
photo taken.

(2)   Indian NDC delegation calls on Chief of Armed 
      Forces Training


YANGON, 28 June- The delegation led by Shri B Jaishankan 
of Indian National Defence College called on Defence 
Services Chief of Armed Forces Training Maj-Gen Win 
Myint at Dagon Yeiktha of the Ministry of Defence this 
morning.


Also present at the call were Commandant of National 
Defence College of the Union of Myanmar Maj-Gen San 
Aung and senior military officers.


The Indian delegation was accompanied by Military  
Attache of the Indian Embassy Col Jasbir Singh.


Then, the Indian delegation went to the National Defence 
College and called on Commandant Maj-Gen San Aung The 
delegation members signed in the visitors' book and 
visited classrooms, the library and exhibition of the 
college.


Commandant Maj-Gen San Aung extended greetings and 
explained facts about the college with the video 
tapes to the delegation at Anawrahta Hall.. Then, Col 
Ye Htut of the Ministry of Defence, Police Col Kham 
Aung of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy 
Director-General U Aung Bwa of the Ministry of Foreign 
Affairs and Deputy Director-General Daw Than Nwe of 
the Ministry of National Planning and Economic 
Development explained facts about the respective 
ministries.


Afterwards, they exchanged souvenirs. The delegation, 
accompanied by Lt-Col Kyaw Myint of the National 
Defence College, visited Defence Services Museum. 
Director of Defence Services Museum and Historical 
Research Institute Col Ye Htut conducted them round 

there.


Afterwards, the delegation went to King Zafar Shah's 
Tomb on Ziwaka Street in Dagon Township. They then 
visited Shwedagon Pagoda and made donations towards 
the pagoda fund.

(3)   Minister receives Japanese delegation


YANGON, 28 June-Minister for Industry- 1 U Aung 
Thaung received Mr Sekimoto of Yangon-based Tomen 
Corporation and party at 10.30 am and Member of 
the House of Representatives, Diet of Japan Mr Koya 
Nishikawa and party, accompanied by Takanezawa Town 
Mayor Mr Katsunori Takahashi and Counselor Mr 
Naokiti of Japanese Embassy at 3.15 pm at his 
office respectively today.


Also present at the calls were Deputy Minister 
Brig-Gen Thein Tun and departmental heads under 
the ministry.

(4)   Minister meets Managing Director of C M P Products


YANGON, 28 June- Minister for Hotels and Tourism 
Maj-Gen Saw Lwin met Managing Director of C M P 
Products Co Ltd of Thailand Mr Paisan Chareoncharutkun 
and party who called at his office at 11 am today.


Also present at the call were Deputy Minister 
Brig-Gen Aye Myint Kyu, Director-General U Khin 
Maung Latt of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, 
Managing Director U Kyi Tun of Myanma Hotels and 
Tourism Services and officials.

(5)   Dy Minister meets Japanese delgn 


YANGON, 28 June- Deputy Minister for Agriculture and 
Irrigation U Ohn Myint met a delegation led by Japanese 
House of Representatives member Mr Koya Nishikawa 
who called at his office at 2 pm today.

Also present at the call were officials of departments 
concerned.

(6)   Minister meets General Manager of Yasuda 
      Fire & Marine Insurance Co

YANGON, 28 June-Minister for Finance and Revenue U Khin 
Maung Thein met General Manager of Yasuda Fire & Marine 
Insurance Co Ltd of Japan Mr Masaki Furuya and party who 
called at his office at 9 am today.


Also present at the call was Governor of the Central 
Bank of Myanmar U Kyaw Kyaw Maung.

(7)  UMFCCI officials arrive back


YANGON, 28 June--CEC member of the Union of Myanmar 
Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry U Sein 
Win Hlaing and Dr Khin Maung arrived back here yesterday 
after attending the BIMST-EC Business Forum held in 
Thailand from 24 to 25 June.
