Ministers, deputy ministers of ASEAN  nations arrive

YANGON, 22 June-Ministers, deputy ministers and 
delegates of the ASEAN member nations today 
arrived here to attend the Second ASEAN Ministerial 
Meeting on Transnational Crime to be held at the 
Traders Hotel here tomorrow.


    They included former Minister of Home Affairs 
and member of the Upper House of the Philippines 
Mr Obert Z Barbers, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs 
of Malaysia Mr Datuk Ong Ka Ting, Minister for 
Home Affairs of Singapore Mr Wang Kang Weng, 
Minister of Home Affairs of Brunei Mr Pehin 
Deto Haji Isa Ibrahim, Police Maj-Gen Dail 
Bachtlar of Indonesia, Minister of Home Affairs 
of Lao People' s Democratic Republic Maj-Gen 
Asang Laoly, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs 
of Cambodia Mr Em Sam An and Deputy Minister of 
Science and Technology and Environment of 
Thailand Mr Porntep Techapaibul.


    They were welcomed at the airport by 
responsible personnel and embassy staffs of 
the respective embassies.
