Joint-statement of "9999 Action committee" and "ABBESU"

On the 9th Anniversary of the 1990 General Election.=20

It has been already 9 years, all citizen of Burma have mandated the =
right to govern (the consent of the governed) to NLD, led by Daw Aung =
San Suu Kyi since 1990 General election.


NLD, unfortunately, were not able to institute a new government till =
now. Because the military regime has been refusing to recognize the =
result of that election and to hand over the power to the NLD.


The military regime, besides, has been repressing people with their own =
improper and illegitimate laws. The citizen of Burma have been suffering =
from arbitrary arrests, torture, executing, use of force labor, =
detention, confiscation the properties of the people and so many on.=20


All organizations, especially NLD, which against the Burmese military =
regime were harassed, oppressed, kidnap or cracked down, before their =
strength were strong enough to over throw the illegitimate regime.


To overcome that obstacle, NLD have leaped forward and formed CRPP =
(Committee Representing People Parliament) with the absolute consent of =
the majority of the elected people's representatives.


We strongly support the CRPP on this 9th Anniversary of the 1990 General =
Election Day with this demonstration and blood strike.=20


We demand the Burmese military regime as follow;=20


        a.. Release all political prisoners immediately and =
unconditionally.

        b.. Hanover the power to the CRPP.
       =20
       =20
        c.. Stop all Human Rights violations.
       =20
       =20

Note: Today more than 150 students from 8 organizations, including =
eithinc minorities, have been demonstrated in front of Burmese Embassy =
in Bangkok.=20

ONSOB and ABBESU have prepared more than 100 of their members to join in =
this demonstration. Unfortunately, three buses to carry these activists =
were banned by Thai Authorities on their way to the demonstration.

There were blood strikes and they burned down the flag of Burmese =
Government in front of Burmese Embassy.
