TRADITIONAL BURMESE COMMEMORATION
OF THE PASSING AWAY OF DR MICHAEL ARIS
On 27 April, 1999 the Burmese community of Melbourne will be =
commemorating the one month anniversary of the death of Dr Michael Aris, =
husband of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. This commemoration will be in =
traditional Burmese style with Burmese food being offered to the monks =
of the monastery in Regent Avenue, Springvale. There will also be prayer =
for transmitting merit for Dr Michael Aris.=20
For anyone who can attend, the ceremony begins at 7:00am and will be =
held at the monastery in Regent Avenue, Springvale.
