(1)		Chairman Senior General Visit Thailand 
		Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and Development
Council, Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar left Yangon this morning at 8
am to pay a goodwill visit to the Kingdom of Thailand at the invitation of
H.E. Mr. Chun Leekpai, Prime Minister of Thailand.
(2)		Commander - in - Chief of Royal Thai Navy and delegation pay goodwill
visit 			to Myanmar
		At the invitation of member of the State Peace and Development Council
Commander in Chief (Navy), Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Navy Admiral Thira
Hao-Charoen and goodwill delegation arrived Yangon by Thai Airways on 7th
March on an official good-will visit to the Union of Myanmar. The visiting
Thai Admiral Thira Hao-Charoen and Goodwill delegation left Yangon by air in
the evening.
(3)		Deputy Minister meets Vice-President of Anti Tuberculosis Association
		Deputy Minister for Health met Vice - President of Anti Tuberculosis
Association of Japan Dr. Nobukatsu Ishikawa, currently in Yangon to attend
National Seminar on tuberculosis who called at his office on 5 March morning.
They discussed plans to conduct training course for service personnel, present
medicines and microscopes, provide medicines and medical equipment and
bilateral health cooperation.
(4)		Officials Leave for Malaysia
		Chief Editor of Myanmar News Agency (Internal) of News and Periodicals
Enterprise of the Ministry of Information and Director (Planning and Control
Department) of the Border Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce left
Yangon for Malaysia by air on 7 March  to attend the Seminar on the Economic
Crisis: Road to Recovery to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 8 to 10
March 1999.
