Statement on the day first prominent military coup in Burma

Today, the March 2, 1999 is the unfortunate day back to 37 years ago; Burma
was
fallen into the darkest hellhole of military dictatorship, terminating
democracy, economy and national solidarity.

Burma is more devastated as the more military dictatorial regimes;
revolutionary council (1962-1974), BSPP single-party ruling era (1974-1988),
state law and order restoration council (1988-1997), state peace and
development council (1997 on).

Although the country is under retrogression, the cruel and forced rulers,
pointing to impossible disintegration but the major aim is constant governance
for their sake that bring them over privilege of brutal exploitation and
oppression to its own people of Buddhist-land, still refuse to transfer power
to parliament elected.

The functions dealt by the current regime are not at all of welfare of people
and nation, as long as it follows the way of its predecessors. Leaders of
regime, assuming descendant rulers themselves, are goody-goodies proved by
protracted civil war, arbitrary detention, willful execution and grudging
harassment against their slogan and motto said.

The plight of all people walks, outside of their homeland, are unspeakably
miserable ridden by status of shelterless refugees, fleeing from various
dangers made by their country owned military, and waiting for starvation and
fatal disease at improper locations in carelessness.

Inside there is no longer middle class but let to growth of super billionaire
generals against to the bottommost poverty-stricken penniless as the land is
under sweeping of illicit drug trafficking added to piles of unemployment and
immense inflation. In politics, citizens and offspring of Burma, are
accountably deprived of their fundamental rights to respect even for life,
obstacles are more to repress any chance of movements sentencing marathon
punishment for fifty more years exemplary imprisonment. The worst, prejudice
mass arrests of MPs plus to recurrent closure of school in education is now in
jeopardy for prospect of Burma.

Such grief and miseries are common sufferings of Burma and unendurable
appearance to represent Burma's ethos consecutively. In order that people of
Burma to free from them, everyone undistinguished to race, religion and
nationality should orchestrate to resist and repel dictatorship from Burma
that
will guarantee the proper formation of unionization and peace and tranquility
of the region.

On this inauspicious day, wishing to, we dissident forces therefore must
try to
restore, in order to regain national dignity and politics, our unity
exchanging
mutual understanding, respects and cooperation that will lead our mother land
to prosperous and peaceful way of life for future.

Ardently and esteemly, we wish all democratic forces, for the opportunity of
future Burma and for current sake of the suffering people, to be more united,
more cooperated, and work out ever than before that to strengthen our
resistant
power alter to less suppression by oppressive regime. Those will ahead to
retain our democracy right.

We demand SPDC, to follow up unconditionally and immediately,
1)      to release students from prisons across Burma, including student
leader
Min Ko Naing
2)      to release prisoners of conscience detained for their political
beliefs
and movements
3)      to declare cease-fire entire nation
4)      to make a table talk with NLD leading by Nobel laureate Daw Aung
San Suu
Kyi, and representatives of ethnic national minorities
