                   Heroin, stimulants seized in Lashio, Mongshu

 YANGON, 24 Feb-A combined team comprising members of regional intelligence
unit and Myanmar Police Force searched the house of Ma Khan Wai, daughter of U
Sein Yaung, aged 33, of Soonlun Street, Ward-10, Lashio, Shan State (North),
on 8 February.

    The team seized 80 soap boxes containing heroin weighing 1.7713 kilograms
from the house owner and Ma Aye Lyan, daughter of U San Pu, aged 28, of
Sankaung Street, Ward-2, Lashio, who had arrived at that house.

    Action is being taken against them according to Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Law.

    Similarly, a combined team comprising members of regional intelligence
unit, the Tatmadavv, Myanmar Police Force and Ward Peace and Development
Council, acting on information, searched the house of Maung Zaw, son of U Tin
Shwe, aged 23, of Region-2,Loihsaunghtauk Ward, Mongshu Gem Land, Mongshu,
Shan State (South), on 11 February.

    The combined team seized 80 stimulants bearing words "WY".

    Action is being taken against him according to the Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Law.
