(1)		Secretary-1 Receives Japanese Diet Member
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt
received Japanese Diet member Mr Kazuo Aichi who called at Dagon Yeiktha of
the Ministry of Defence on 11 February.
(2)		Secretary-1 Receives Chairman of Japan Federation of Employers'
						Association
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt
received Chairman of Japan Federation of Employers' Association and Chairman
of NYK Shipping Co Mr Jiro Nemoto and party at Dagon Yeiktha of the Ministry
of Defence on 11 February.
(3)		Minister for Foreign Affairs to Visit Four ASEAN Member Nations
		At the invitation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of respective
countries, U Win Aung, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Union of Myanmar,
will pay official visits to Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Singapore and
Thailand in the near future.
(4)		Fourth International Heroin Conference to Be Held in Myanmar
		A coordination meeting on hosting the Fourth International Heroin Conference
at International Business Centre in Yangon from 23 to 26 February was held at
the Ministry of Home Affairs on 11 February. The Office of Director-General of
Interpol offered Myanmar Government to host the Fourth International Heroin
Conference as Myanmar always realizes the objectives of Interpol and moreover,
it wishes to make Myanmar's significant anti-narcotics activities known to the
world and Myanmar Government has accepted the proposal. The Government is
actively and energetically carrying out tasks for eradication of narcotic
drugs as national duty with added momentum after laying down two strategies,
three tactics and three means, and hosting the conference will highlight the
Government's endeavours for eradication of narcotic drugs.
