"Heartfelt Longings"

To do good for my country and my people
is my deepest
desire, my only goal.
So once again, to Japan I have come.

But no matter how
blissful is Japan,
No matter how heavenly a country may be,
It compares not
with my homeland.
The good that's seen everywhere
T 'is wondrous to behold.
So the deeper my longing, the greater my longing,
More heartfelt than ever
before.

Progress in every aspect of life dear folks,
cannot be known by
imagination alone.
But it is there, for all to see
if you care to look.
So
make haste and run, oh! run to see,
The beauty of your country.
