(1)		Senior General Than Shwe and Daw Kyaing Kyaing Arrive Back from Sixth
ASEAN Summit and Meetings of Heads of State and Government of ASEAN, China,
Japan and Korea

		Myanmar delegation headed by Chairman of the State Peace and Development
Council and Prime Minister of Union of Myanmar Senior General Than Shwe and
Daw Kyaing Kyaing arrived back Yangon on 17 December afternoon after attending
the Sixth ASEAN Summit and Meetings of Heads of State and Government of ASEAN,
People's Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea held in Hanoi on 15
and 16 December at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic
of Vietnam Mr Phan Van Khai.

(2)		Myanmar Women's Team Wins Gold in Sepak Takraw Final

		Myanmar Women's sepak takraw team beat Vietnam counterparts 8-15, 15-5, 6-5
in their final at the Asian Games in Bangkok on 17 December evening and thus
won gold medal. Both Myanmar Men and Women's sepak takraw teams will play in
circle game events on 18 December.

(3)		MIC Secretary Arrives Back from Singapore

		Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission arrived back Yangon by air on 17
December after attending the advanced roundtable on effect of foreign
investment and poverty eradication held on 14 and 15 December in Singapore.
