BURMA STILL ON THE LIST

Despite the fact that the military regime of Burma has been claiming that
they have been trying to eliminate drug trafficking, Burma is still on the
list. The 28 countries or areas found by Clinton to be ``major illicit
drug transit or drug producing countries'': Afghanistan, Aruba,
The Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Burma, Cambodia, China, Colombia,
Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti,
Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Laos, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama,
Paraguay, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela and
Vietnam.
