                         More NLD members resign

YANGON, 15 Nov-Thirty eight members of National League for Democracy of Paung
Township resigned from the party on 20 October 1998.

Hla, U Tun Yi, U
Hla Pe, U Aung Pan Tha, U Win Tin, U Lin Sein, U Htain Hla Win, U Saw
Myaing San, U Tun
Kyaw, Daw Khin Sein Kyi, U Ba Than, Ma Yin Kyi, U Aung Tin, U Kyaw Nyein, U
Hla Ngwe, U
Mya Lwin, U Thein Aye, U San Phe, U Na Dei Sar, U Ohn Toe, U Aung Thin, U
Tan Bi, U Kyaw
Myint, U Kyi Myint, U Tha Htoo Aung, U San Thein, U Soe Tun, U Kon Palai, U
Soe Myint, U
Zaw Moe, U Than Lwin, U Lwin Aye, U Aung Thein Myint and U Ngwe Htwe.

    They notified the Paung Township Multiparty Democracy General Election
Commission Office
and the respective party chairman saying that they had resigned from the
party out of their own
volition since they had no longer wish to continue to participate in
political activities of NLD.
