Huge drug seizure at Don Muang
21 kilos of heroin being taken to US

The Customs Department's narcotics suppression operation seized 21 kilos of
heroin from a foreigner at Don Muang early yesterday morning, officials said.
Yenri Suen Onabanjo, 32, travelling on a Malawian passport, was arrested
and charged with drug trafficking as he was about to board a plane to Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia.
The drug, which was hidden in radio loudspeakers, is worth up to 500
million baht outside the country, officials said.
Somjainuek Engtrakul, the department's director-general, said the suspect
is part of an international drug ring allegedly run by a group of Nigerians.
The suspect has admitted to the charge, said Mr Somjainuek.
In the last three months, the Customs Department has confiscated 80 kilos
of heroin worth about 25 million baht here.
Its value is as high as 25 billion baht outside the country, according to
the department. Classifieds
