Support for Parliament Committee

The Chin Freedom Coalition support the
Parliament Committee and its programs.
The peoples of Burma have suffered
enough under the ignorant rulers of
Burma since 1962.  Bogyoke Aung San said
in 1947 " If we do not know how to run
our country, Burma will become the Land
of Prostitutes".

How right Bogyoke was. Today Burma is
the Land of Prostitutes. In 36 years of
military rule Burma has become the one
of the "Least Developed"  countries of
the world.  The poorest in South East
Asia. Because of the consistant closing
of schools, colleges and universities
during the military dictatorship the
people of Burma has become the "Least
Educated" country.

However, Burma is the "Number One"
producer of opium.  Burma has one of the
"Largest Army" in the world.  Under the
SLORC and SPDC Burma has also  the "Most
Corrupted" government. The SLORC and
SPDC has shown that they are incapable
of running the country. Guns and
ammunition will not bring food to the
people.

If the people of Burma want to be proud
of their country and build up the
country in the field of economics and
moral, then Burma has to get rid of the
military dictatorship. Not only the
dictatorship Burma must get rid of the
military.  Rebellion and armed
resistance in Burma must cease.

To bring back Burma to its feet the
people have given their mandate and the
Parliament Committee is shouldering the
responsibility of turning the country to
where the people wanted. Only an elected
parliament can solve the problems facing
Burma.

We therefore  support the "Parliament
Committee"
