The Byamma's Head-2

 The Byamma's Head-2

There were unprecedented changes and developments in the nation during the
time action was taken to let Mrs Aris stay her home safely. Significant
progress could be seen in Myanmar even in the initial time of the introduction
of the market-oriented economy. Eleven foreign industries had invested $
56.1-million in Myanmar up to 31 March 1991 after Myanmar Investment Law was
enacted in November 1988. If investments in oil and gas, mining, fishery and
tourism enterprises were added, total foreign investment in Myanmar up to that
time reached $ 617.4 million.
Myanmar is an agro-based nation. Only 12.2 million acres were put under paddy
in 1990, yielding 669 million baskets of paddy in fiscal 1990-91. Sown paddy
acreage after five years in 1994 95 had been extended up to 14.65 million,
producing 880 million baskets. Writing this article is not just to praise the
progressing figures, but to stress on two million more sown acres and over 200
million more baskets of paddy, which is a considerable amount that cannot go
unnoticed.

Foreign investment in Myanmar within five or six years up to 31 March 1995
amounted to $ 2569.21 million. Myanmar designated 1992-93 "the Economic Year"
and 1994-95 "the All-round Development Year".

In 1989, the year in which action was taken against Mrs Aris, gross domestic
product was K 47.141 billion, showing a minus 11.4 per cent in development
according to commodity prices of 1985-86. However, in 1995 before her
restriction was-lifted, GDP rose to K 66.716 billion, registering a 7.7 per
cent increase. In addition, the nation could double exports.

Foreign investment in Myanmar went down after restriction order was lifted.
"No more investment or assistance to Myanmar as the country has no democracy,"
she started to cry. She even opposed Japan's extension of aid to Myanmar to
build modem schools here. In reality, Myanmar youths have to suffer. Some
foreign investors packed their bags and left.

ln accord with the political defiance theory directed by her alien masters,
Mrs Aris is applying the method to squeeze the government to face political
and economic difficulties till it becomes helpless. Westerners are fond of
choosing women as leaders of democracy uprisings. The West believes that most
of the people usually support women leaders more. Mrs Aquino of the
Philippines and Ms Bhutto of Pakistan are two of the women who had won- the
people's support.

As she was taught that in line with the political defiance theory democracy
unrest might surface on anniversary days and significant days, Mrs Aris and
her cohorts have been busy with movements on such days.

Their attempts to cause disturbances on 12 March as anniversary of Phone Maw
failed. In April, people were interested only in Thingyan festival. They tried
to create unrest on 27 May as the anniversary of the elections. Dates such as
7 July, 19 July and 20 July are favourable for them to stir up disturbances.
In August, there is the four-eights day to make instigations. The 18th of
September is also a possible date for them to make disturbances. These could
be good days for Mrs Aris and her cronies to create unrest.

It is expected that Mrs Aris will continue her conspiracies with the same
momentum in 1999. Not only the four-eights day (8-8-88) but also the four-
nines day (9-9-99) could be even introduced next year to extend their evil
attempts. She has never paid any attention to the people however they were
frightened by her misdeeds. She also ignores the sufferings of the people as
she has no guts to take the responsibility. What is only important for her is
the fall of the Tatmadaw Government and her way toward grabbing state power.
Why did she forcefully take the job as the leader of National League for
Democracy? It has become a problem. It is not clear who is the legal chairman
of NLD or who is the principal dictator. I think NLD should solve its own
problems first.

Her attempts to call the Hluttaw are against the nation's will but are in
accord with the political defiance theory. Mrs Aris has to criticize the
government much and to claim more that she deserves to win the power. It can
be called self-advertising. In addition to these, she has to beg for foreign
assistance. Winning the power is the only and most important desire for her,
never pays any consideration for those who had sacrificed or who will
sacrifice on her march toward power. She is like the Nga Tay, an unruly and
selfish person, who never gives any regard to other's lives but cares only for
his good.

Persons who are called the Byamma's Head always get angry as soon as they
know their nickname. But Amazingly ! There can be few who never get angry for
calling them the Byamma's Head, instead they are proud of it. I can't be
certain whether Mrs Aris would be angry or take pride if she were called the
Byamma 's Head. But she has surely become the terribly hot Byamma's Head right
after the restriction was revoked.

One of her terrible misconduct is the supporting of Metharawhta declaration.
I have no wish to accuse Mrs Aris of instigating uncle Mya who had turned his
back on the peace process only after entering into dialogue with the
government many times. However, it is apparent that the two have identical
mind and intention as she has expressed support for the declaration which
openly breaks away from the peace process as soon as it was announced.

Oh! You, Mrs Aris.

Do you turn a blind eye on the peace process as you are extremely hot or do
you take pleasure scorching others as you are the one who possesses intense
heat? You dare ignore the forgiveness and tolerance which are borne every time
on you. Your sins are causing the people trouble. You are not worthy of being
accommodated by our nation.

Even though you are being held by golden hands, your terrible heat will melt
them down as you are the Byamma's Head. So, you'd better leave this nation. As
citizens, we are demanding deportation of Mrs Aris. The only word we have to
say to you is "Get out".
