Dear Friends, July 29, 1998
We, activists in ToKyo, continue sit-in protest today in front gate of =
Burmese Embassy in Shinagawa. About 35 protesters gathered at the same =
place at 2 p.m and sit-in protest lasted 2 hours until 4 p.m.
Today=92s protest comprising much more people both Japanese and Burmese =
(some are not members of any democracy organizations).Ordinary people in =
ToKyo gradually come to take part in rally because they feel they are =
also responsible for the process of democracy and all Burmese people are =
extremely concerned about safety of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
We are happy to announce that we will hold long hours sit-in protest =
continuously until SPDC, military regime of Burma release Daw Aung San =
Suu Kyi, from a police roadblock.
The following is the joint-statement of democracy organizations in ToKyo =
issued today.
