STATEMENT DECLARATION NO. 2/98


1.	Karen Solidarity organization(K S O) is trying to implement the basic
objectives of it priciple of peace, liberty, equality, solidarity, and
preserving new karen generation with great effort for unity among Karen
people as it is very important and a matter of life and death.
2.	As we realized the unity among Karen people, the needed seminar
organized by K S O was held, on 14th  june, 1998, at the liberated area, to
which some Karen National Organizations namely, Overseas Karen Refugees
Social Organization (O K R S O), Karen Women Association (K W A), Ka Ser
Doh God?s Army and many karen patriotic individuals were participated.
3.	In the seminar, a group called ?WORKING GROUP FOR KAREN NATIONAL
UNIFICATION? was formed by the following individuals.

4. Saw Tha Doo       		(Member)
5. Mahn Awa Pown  			(Member) 
6. Mahn  Goshin Mahn 		(Member)

8. Naw Ser Thein         		(Member)
9. Naw Paw Tashu       		(Member)

4.	This ?WORKING GROUP FOR KAREN NATIONAL UNIFICATION? will emphasis it
work on drafting the detail strategy of Karen people unification and
implementation process, mass participation in Karen people unification?s
course and receiving better advise and support from the mass, financial
sourcing, etc....and this work have already been implemented on 20th
july,1998.
5.	Karen Solidarity Organization (K S O) declared it full support of
founding the working group of Karen National Unification and will implement
it objectives together with all Karin National Organizations.
