Regarding the secret of the RFA Bur

Information about RFA

Certain staff members of RFA, Burmese program are afraid of Soe Thin, head of
Burmese Section. Why ? He handpicked most of them. He acts like a master at
RFA Burmese Program, not as a senior broadcasting officer.

There have been times when special information pieces were never broadcast out
on air.

Soe Thin is the only decision-maker there. But I can post it now because some
pro-military sympathizers and their agents have concealed the news.

Soe Thin alone knows of what his real gains are as head of RFA, Burmese
Program and a military sympathizer.

The information is:
In late June of 1998, Soe Thin sponsored and arranged a trip for U Aung Gyi
and General Maung Maung to come to visit U.S to raise a political agenda to
propagate that Ne Win was the only one who could save Burma. Soe Thin, head
of RFA Burmese Program, even arranged housing and occasional dinners for these
two pro-military men and later interviewed them. The interview with the two
important men sent by the Burmese military was broadcast to misinform the
Burmese people.

RFA is the only radio station which first interviewed and aired it. The
motive behind
that arrangement was fishy and frightening. Unless Soe Thin had been working
with SPDC, who else could have made such an arrangement for such activities
and plans?

Like the radio stations in communist China in late 1960's and early 1970's,
Soe Thin has used RFA to please his masters and you can guess that RFA Burmese
program is selling the ideas of the Burmese military. Unfortunately, Soe Thin
is no communist, a mere scum opportunist working with the Burmese military.
The US government takes people of this kind because the consequences of having
the wrong persons run a radio station have never been weighed.
