PRESSURE ON MYANMAR GOVT 25/6/98 afp
MS Aung San Suu Kyi had stepped up pressure on military authorities by
setting a two-month deadline for them to convene Parliament, opposition
sources said yesterday.
Her National League for Democracy party said it had sent a letter to the
junta on Tuesday demanding Parliament be convened before Aug 21. -- AFP
