Birthday celebrated
Rangoon- Burmese dissident leader Aung San Suu Kyi, celebrating hwe 53rd
birthday yesterday, was allowed thr rare treat of a home more or-less open
to visitors. Mrs. Suu Kyi, head of the National League for Democracy,
usually screened, but this year many members of her party, kept away last
year, could be seen entering her lakeside home. Visitors had to give their
names in advance, but otherwise were not harassed by officials. -AP
