Amnesty warning over Burmese death sentences
The human rights organisation Amnesty International says death sentences
passed on six Burmese opposition activists could set an ominous
precedent.
It said they were the first for political prisoners for several years.
The six were among some forty activists arrested in January and accused
of involvement in an anti-government plot.
The others received jail sentences.
