April 12, 1998. Chettha celebrates Songkran in Burma
Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Chettha Thanajaro and some 50 top brass will
join Burmese military rulers to celebrate Songkran in Rangoon on
Tuesday.
The event has been organised by the Burmese junta's State Peace and
Development Council's Secretary One Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt.
The celebration is designed to strengthen links between the two nation's
armies and no issues will be discussed.
