(1)		Donation of Rice, Edible oil, Cash to Blind school, Day Care Nursery
		Families of Tatmadaw ( Army, Navy, Air) and wellwishers donated rice, edible
oil and cash to the school for the blind under the Social Welfare Department
in Kyimyindine Township on 27 December. Departments and wellwishers donated
cash for Shwegondine Day Care Nursery. The Social Welfare Department of the
Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is taking care of the
children in need of care and protection under 1993 Child Law. Children under
three years of age are looked after at Shwegondine Child Care Centre, children
from three to five at Htaukkyant Child Care Centre, children from six to 12 at
Kyaikwaing Training School for Boys, children from 12 to 16 at Kaba Aye
Training School for Boys, children from 6 to 16 at Hngetawsan Training School
for Boys, Mandalay Training School for Boys, Lashio Training School for Boys,
Mawlamyine Training School for Boys, Yangon Training School for Girls and
Mandalay Training School for Girls.
 
(2)		Myanmar Red Cross Society , Korean National Red Cross Society Carry out
Community Welfare Activities in NyaungU
		Under the cooperation programme in community programme in community welfare
activities between Myanmar Red Cross Society and Korean National Red Cross
Society, a team of Korean Red Cross Society led by Mr Chan U K Park together
with officials of MRCS arrived NyaungU on 25 December. The team in cooperation
with NyaungU Township Red Cross Society gave medical treatment to children
under 12 of the township in NyaungU on 27 December.
 
(3)		Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association Gets New Two-Storey
Building 
		A ceremony to hand over two-storey new building for Myanmar Maternal and
Child Welfare Association was held at Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel on 27 December.
Chairman of Tan Kee Kee Foundation Dr Sally Aw Sirum of Hong Kong donated the
building for Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association in memory of late
mother Daw Tan Kee Kee. Dr Sally presented related document on the new
building to Chairperson of MMCWA.
 
(4)		Scrutiny of Entries for ASEAN Invitational Colour Photo, Colour Poster
Contests Finalized
		The scrutiny of entries for the 30th ASEAN Founding Anniversary Invitational
Colour Photo and Colour Poster Contests was finalized at the Tatmadaw Hall on
U Wisara Road on 27 December. Altogether 102 colour photos and 51 colour
posters were sent in. Chairman of the Committee for Primary Selection for the
Contests and committee members scrutinized and selected the entries.
