		46 more exchange arms for peace

YANGON, 16 Dec Forty-six more members of various armed groups exchanged 
arms for
peace at the respective military command areas from 1 to 28 November.

They are among the many members of armed groups who have realized the 
Government's sincere
goodwill and have been exchanging arms for peace with the Tatmadaw.

Kyaw Lin (a) Shwe Kyee with the rank of 2ndlt and pvt Kyaw Kyaw Min of 
ABSDF (Central)
exchanged arms for peace in Northern Command areas.

In South-East Command area; wo-2 San Aung (a) Hmat Kyi, pvt Ma Thein 
Myint of medical unit,
brigade 1 of KNU, leader Saw Pan Aye, pvts Saw Hla Kyi, Saw Ba Sein, Saw 
Tu Htwe, Saw
Ahle, Saw Kawwi, Sein Maung, Saw Phathama, Maung Khin, Saw Aung Htwe of 
guerilla unit,
brigade 6 and sgt Saw Nay Htoo of battalion 16, brigade 6 exchanged arms 
for peace bringing
along with them one BA-72, four M-16s, one AK-47, one M-2, one M-21, one 
 .30 carbine, four
magazines, 57 rounds of ammunition.

U Yu Nwe, vice-chairman of Myawady region of ABSDF armed group and pvt 
Hashim (a) Sein
Maung, commander Ye Win Lay of battalion 214, platoon commander Nan Do 
Tan and pvt Saw
Khu Htoo (a) Soe Paing exchanged arms for peace in the area bringing 
along with them one .32
pistol, one magazine and ten rounds of ammunition.

In Coastal Region Command, capt Saw Kawt Taya of battalion 11, brigade 4, 
KNU armed group,
Nateindaung administrative member Saw Chukyia, leader of Kakaunkni region 
Saw Taw Lok, pvt
Saw Htaw Nayday, Saw Khu Ba (a) Saw Naing Naing, wife Naw Thaphaw and 
daughter Naw Lu
May, leader of Mawpadu region Saw Khu Lu, leader of Hsinswechaung region 
Saw Pan Yaung,
pvt of Pyathatchaung region Saw Bce Bee, Saw Bila, Saw He Nyaw, I/cpl Saw 
Soe Naing of
battalion 10, wife Naw Phaw Htoo,daughterNawPan Ngepo and Naw Soe Htoo 
Htoo, pvt of
Kyaukhtu region Saw Nyunt Sein (a) Saw Po Kya Bai, Thinbonchaung region 
hardcore Saw Kyi
Win exchanged arms for peace bringing along with them seven M-16s, one 
AK-47, two carbines,
one M-21, one M-22, one pistol, 12 magazines, 58 rounds of ammunition, 
three hand grenades, one
M-14 mine.

Pvt Tun Aye of battal.ion 203, ABSDF armed group, wife Maw Maw Yu, 
daughter Phyo Thanda
Tun and son Maung Nyein Zaw also exchanged arms for peace in the area.

In North-West Command area, pvt Hlan Khalan of CNA armed group exchanged 
arrns for peace.

In Western Command area, pvt Kyaw Aye of.AA armed group together with one 
revolver and four
magazines, pvt U Maung Tha Aung of ALP armed group and pvt Ibrahim of 
Tawh Tawh armed
group together with one gun and eight rounds of ammunition exchanged arms 
for peace.

They were warmly welcomed by officials who are rendering assistance.
