(1)		Myanmar Delegation Arrives Back From Manila Social Development
Ministerial Meeting
 
		Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and
Resettlement Brig-Gen Maung Kyi arrived back Yangon by air on 13 November
after attending the fifth Asia-Pacific Region Ministerial Level Meeting on
Social Development held in Manila from 9 to 11 November.
 
(2)		Cultural Delegation Arrives Back From Malaysia
 
		The 32-member cultural delegation led by Deputy Minister for Hotels and
Tourism Brig-Gen Tin Aye arrived back Yangon on 14 November after attending
cultural variety dance, gems and Myanmar traditional food shows in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia, from 29 October to 10 November at the invitation of Valiant
Towers Sdn Bhd. In honour of the Myanmar's membership in the ASEAN, Valiant
Towers invited the delegation to take part in the shows for promotion of the
tourism industry.
 
(3)		Housing and Construction Exhibition 97 11-14 December
 
		TTF (Yangon) Co Ltd will sponsor Housing and Construction Exhibition 97
with the assistance of the Ministry of Construction at Tatmadaw Hall on U
Wisara Road from 11 to 14 December. The exhibition is aimed at building world
class housing complexes and exchanging construction technology.

Minister and Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission Vice-Admiral Maung
Maung Khin received William M Scholl of the Strategic and International
Affairs Department of the United States and Mr Ernest H Preeg of the
International Economics Department, a former ambassador, at his office.
