PROGRAM SUMMARY: The NCGUB is an interim government in exile
working to transfer power to the legitimately elected
representatives of the Burmese People's Assembly. In their plan of
action for 1995, the NCGUB proposes to: re-organize the NCGUB to
include representatives of the ethnic nationalities, thereby
rendering the coalition government more representative of all
Burmese people; provide humanitarian assistance to those areas of
Burma not under the military regime's State Law and Order
Restoration Council (SLORC); and launch a comprehensive campaign of
organized political defiance within Burma.
