(1)     Thanmyanthu All Bus Lines Control Committee provides cash to disabled
         Tatmadawmen .
 
     YANGON, 26 May- Tlianmyranthu All Bus lines Control Committee
     provided cash to Tatmadawmen who have sacrificed limbs and are still
     in service for the 12th time at the City Hall this Afternoon.
     Secretary-2 of the State Law and Order Restoration Council Chief of
     Bureau of Special Operations and Chief of Staff (Army) Lt-Gen Tin Oo
     spoke on the occasion and provided cash.

(2)     Good progress of cooperation between Ministry of Mines and foreign
          companies due changes in eco policy

     YANGON, 26 May-Progress of cooperation between the Ministry of Mines
     and foreign companies was explained to the Myanmar Investment
     Commission in the Thiri Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Mines at 9.30
     am today.

(3)     Deputy Prime Minister receives-Ambassador of India 
   
     YANGON, 26 May - Member of the State Law and Order Restoration
     Council Deputy Prime Minister Lt-Gen Tin Tun received Ambassador of
     India Mr Shyam Saran at his office this Afternoon.
     
     They discussed promotion of friendly relations between the two
     countries.

(4)     Minister for Forestry receives Ambassador of India 
 
     YANGON, 26 May Member of the State. Law and Order Restoration Council
     Minister for Forestry Lt-Gen Chit Swe received Ambassador of India Mr
     Shyam Saran at International Business Centre this afternoon. 
     
     They discussed Conservation of forest, development of forest sector
     and mutual cooperation. 
     
     Present also were head of department and adviser to the ministry.

 (5)    International Hotel & Tourism Training Programme opens
 
     YANGON, 26 May Minister for Hotels 0 and Tourism Lt-Gen Kyaw Ba
     addressed opening of International Hotel & Tourism Training
     Programme, conducted under aegis of the ministry. 
     
     The ceremony at Kyunshwewa Hall at the People?s Square and the
     People?s Park was also attended by Deputy Minister Brig-Gen Tin Aye,
     Director-General of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism U Khin Maung
     Latt and Other officials. 
     
     Fifty-six trainees are attending the four-week course.

(6)     Myanmar delegation leaves for ROK 
  
     YANGON, 26 May - Myanmar delegation led by Managing Director U Tin
     Kha (Tekkatho Tin Kha) of News and Periodicals Enterprise left here
     by air for the Republic of Korea this morning to study mass media and
     the development of Korea at the invitation of LG Electronics Inc. 
     The delegation was seen off at the airport by Director (News) U Hla
     Tun of NPE, Director-(Admin) U Hla Kyin of NPE, Adviser to Myanma
     Alin Daily U Kyi Nyunt, General Manager of LG Electronics Inc (Yangon
     Office) Mr Tae Woo Nam and relatives.
     
     Myanmar delegation induces Chief Editor of Pale Myopya Myayya
     Magazine U Chit San (Chit San Win), Chief Editor of Living Colour
     Advertisement Magazine U Khin Maung Oo (Ko Yoe Kunt) and Planning
     Manager of Dagon Star Ltd U Sonny Ko Ko Gyi.

(7)     Minister receives C & P Mvanmar Private Ltd Chairman MD

     YANGON, 26 May Chairman & Managing Director of C & P Myanmar 
     Private Ltd Mr Loi Kai Meng called on Minister for Transport Lt-Gen 
     Thein Win at his office this morning.
     
     They discussed development of Thilawa Port, installation of machines
     and Thilawa Container yard fully operational.
     Present also were Manabng Director of Myanma Port Authority U Tin Oo
     and Deputy Director-General of Directorate of Investment and
     Companies, among others.

(8)     Minister for Energy inspects Dunban Creek hydel power project in
          Kachin State 
  
     YANGON, 26 May-Minister for Energy U Khing Maung Thein Chairman of
     Kachin State Law and Order Restoration Council Commander of Northern
     Command Maj-Gen Kyaw Win and officials met service personnel of the
     Ministry on 24 May. 
     Marketing Officer U Tin Maung Hlaing of Myanma Petroleum Products
     Enterprise and Electrical Engineer U Soe Myint Lwin of Myanma
     Electric Power Enterprise reported on undertakings.
     
     The minister explained completed hydro electric power stations and
     hydel power projects to be implemented in Kachin State and
     implementation of energy planning. 
     
     The minister cordially greeted EC members of the Union Solidarity and
     Development Association and service personnel. 
     
     On 25 May, the minister and the commander visited Dunban Creek in
     Waingmaw Township where hydel power project is to be implemented.
     
     Assistant Chief Engineer U Aung Koe Shwe reported on the project. The
     minister also met EC members of USDA and local people.
     
     Dunban Creek hydel power project will generate 45 million kwh a year
     on completion of it.

(9)     Myanmar religious delegation concludes Lao visit 
  
     YANGON, 26 May - Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of National
     Convention Convening Commission Minister for Religious Affairs Lt-Gen
     Myo Nyunt arrived Vientiane in Lao People?s Democratic Republic on 20
     May.
     
     They were welcomed by Chairman of Lao National Consolidation Front Mr
     Oudom Khatthi Ya and officials at the airport:
     
     They called on Mr Oudon Khatthi Ya in Mai Teechit Hall and attended
     dinner hosted in their honour by Mr Oudom Khatthi Ya.
     
     The next day, they pfeeenterl the Gandahldi built by Myanma to
     Sayadaw Ven Achan Noi. They paid respects to Sayadaw Ven Vichit
     Singharaj, Chairman of Lao Buddhist Committee.
     
     On 22 May, they went to Luang Phrabang where they met Administrator
     of the city. They discussed regional development and religious
     affairs.
     
     The delegation attended a religious ceremony at Chieng Thong.
     
     They visited a museum next morning. They also paid respects to
     Sayadaw Vixoune.
     
     Back in Vientiane, Myanmar delegation members met lio officials,
     explaining the progress of the National Convention.
     
     In the afternoon, they called on Deputy Prime Minister of Laos Mr
     Vonang Vorachit at his office. Discussions were on development-and
     religion.
     
     They visited.Sisaket and Ho Phra Keo museums.
     
     At Buddha Vongsapa Luang, they presented robes to the members of the
     Sangha and nuns.
     
     Minister Lt-Gen Myo Nyunt and delegation attended ceremony to bid
     farewell to them by Mr Ouddm Khatthi Ya.
     
     They arrived back here yesterday evening.

(10)     Chinese media delegation calls on Deputy Minister for Information 
 
     YANGON, 26 May - Chinese media delegation led by Deputy
     Director-General of Foreign Affairs Department and Broadcasting,
     Movies and Television Department Mr Fan Guangdi of the People?s
     Republic of China called on Deputy Minister for Information U Thein
     Sein at the Ministry of Information this morning.
     
     They exchanged views on broadcasting, movies and television.
     
     Present also were Director-General of Myanma Television and Radio
     Department U Kyi Lwin, Managing Director of Printing and Publishing
     Enterprise U Than Maung, Managing Director of Motion Picture
     Enterprise U Tin Pe, Deputy Director-General of Information and
     Public Relation Department U Aung San, Director (News) of News and
     Periodicals Enterprise U Hla Tun, Director (Admin) of MTRD U Khin
     Maung Htay and Head of Office U Sein Win.
