	Pressure  is  mounting  for  international  sanctions  against  the  Burmese  
Regime  in  response  to  the  latest  political  crackdown,  despite  the  
regime's  denials  that  the  the  democracy  leader, Ms  Aung  San  Suu  Kyi, 
was  back  under  house  arrest.
	As  the  regime  continued  to  detain  Ms  Suu  Kyi's  most  senior  
political  aide,  another  official  of  her  National  League  for  
Democracy[NLD] claimed  Ms  Suu  Kyi  had  been  barred  from  leaving  her  
Rangoon  home  since  Wednesday.
