	More than 500 supporters of Ma Aung San Suu Kyi's National League 
for Democracy who were detained last week would soon be released, but 
some might be subject to separate legal action, Burmese authorities said 
yesterday.

	Ms Suu Kyi was free to come and go as she pleased, but the 
blockade outside her residence, designed to prevent a congress of the NLD 
last week, would remain, Police Colonel Ngwe Soe Tun said.
