A recently-arrived lawyer with 29 years of practice in Burma, who was 
twice imprisoned by the military regime, would like to write a book 
about Burma's struggle for freedom and democracy through his own 
experiences and perspective but lacks the means.  He needs financial 
support and secretarial/clerical assistance to accomplish the task in a 
hurry.  He was a leader of a major ethnic group and was imprisoned from 
1964 to 1969 and once again from 1988 to 1992.

Any person, organization or institution that has a genuine desire to 
help this gentleman, 65 years of age, is kindly requested to
