REQUEST: DFI & Land Ownership

Dear All:

I have a question concerning Direct Foreign Investment and Land Ownership
in Burma under SLORC.  Can multinational manufacturing companies which
have Direct Foreign Investment in Burma own the land (on which they build
factories) under SLORC's laws? If they can, are there any limit on how
long they can own?  If not, what is the SLORC's policy.  Under Chinese
"Open Door" policy, multinational companies cannot own land.
