Religious Ceremony for Late Prime Minister U Nu Held in L.A.

Annual religious ceremony commemorating Burma's Prime Minister U Nu who
passed away following the release of house arrest by the military
government in Burma was held this morning at a Burmese temple in Los
Angeles. Over one hundred people attended the Buddhist service and U
Thaung Htaik, eldest son of U Nu, conducted the ceremony on behalf of Nu's
family. This ceremony showed that the nation's democracy leader U Nu will
never be forgotten by the people of Burma.
