Here's the "Free Aung San Suu Kyi" campaign from Pangaea. It's a
non-profit campaign and we're happpy they have come up with a
brilliant idea. We are therefore encouraging people to support
it.  Here's how the pamphlet from Pangaea reads:

CAMPAIGN TO FREE AUNG SAN SUU KYI

For more than five years Aung San Suu Kyi, winner of the Nobel
Peace Prize, has been held under house arrest by the military
government of Burma.  Although her party was democratically
elected to rule Burma, the military government has refused to
allow the transition to democracy to take place.  She won the
Nobel Peace Prize in 1991, but has been unable to travel to Norway
to accept the award.

Now there is an international campaign to publicize the plight of
Aung San Suu Kyi through wearing a simple bracelet, bearing her
name and date of arrest, until she is freed.  Persons who wear the
bracelet make a pledge not to take it off until her release.  It
is hoped that the bracelet will be a visual reminder of the
situation in Burma and encourage international awareness and
response.

The non-profit campaign is sponsored by PANGAEA, a U.S. based
organization founded by William and Dayle Spencer, scholars and
activists in conflict resolution.  To order a bracelet, complete
the attached pledge card and send it, together with $5.00 in cash,
